About

The tools are new. The instincts are old.

Liminal Frames is the studio practice of Slojo — an AI video studio exploring the space between generated video and the real world.

Slojo was a top creator on OpenAI’s Sora — millions of views before the platform closed — and an early invited tester on ByteDance’s Dreamina, where the studio is now among the most-followed creators.

The name is literal. A liminal space sits on both sides of a threshold at once — here, the one between the real and the rendered. Frames that have never been, but still are. Dreamina holds videos of “Slojo” that Slojo never appeared in. Those frames are liminal.

Its method is directed generation: composed seed images, deliberate motion, and a hard edit. Most takes don’t survive. The ones that do feel like something you half-remember.
